Recommendations for a merchandise start-up

My section of a group project: three steps, in order, for a small merchandise company for artists.

Group project in a digital marketing program, June 2026; my section only. Not reviewed or endorsed by the company.

3 steps, in order, each traced to a finding in the group's audit

Slide 12, Recommendations: a roadmap in three columns. 01 Fix the foundation, from the SEO audit: replace placeholder products, add meta descriptions and alt text, a clearer page title, cut unused Shopify JavaScript and compress images (PageSpeed 62, 690 ms, 382 KiB). 02 Make the difference visible, from the competitive analysis and SWOT: publish two or three case studies, put the IP story on the homepage, make pricing findable. 03 Grow into fans and partners, from the SWOT and social audit: build Instagram and TikTok, add artist collection pages, compete on IP strategy rather than price.
The roadmap slide, with the company's name taken out. Each column names the part of the audit it draws on.

What I made

Five of us audited a small merchandise company for artists: its search and page speed, four competitors, a SWOT and its social accounts, as they stood in June 2026.

I wrote the last three slides. They put the group's findings into three steps in a set order, and each step names the part of the audit it comes from.

  1. Group auditsearch and page speed, four competitors, SWOT, social accounts
  2. Three stepsin a set order, each naming the finding behind it
  3. Summaryone line to close the report
The findings came from the group's sections. The order is the part I wrote.

What came out of it

The closing line

The report closed on one line: the company didn't need a new strategy; it needed its existing one to show. We presented it in June 2026.

Slide 14, Summary: 'The company does not need a new strategy. It needs its existing one to show.' The paragraph below notes that the company treats merchandise as a full-funnel extension of an artist's IP, and that placeholder products, thin metadata, no public proof, no fan-facing social accounts and hard-to-find pricing keep that from reaching customers. A green band ends the slide: fix the foundation, make the differentiator visible and credible, then grow into fans and partners.
The summary slide that closed the report.
